NVQ Level 2

NVQ Level 2 for Skilled Worker

NVQ Level 2 for Skilled Worker –  Involves carrying out complex work-based duties, and gaining a good knowledge and understanding of a subject. These are performed in a variety of contexts – involving a combination of individual responsibility and teamwork.

The list of professions is really long, so we present only the most popular specialties in the construction sector:

  • Carpentry, Joinery – Work with wood, carpentry

NVQ level 2 usually lasts up to two months. This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time.

With NVQ level 2 certificate and passed H&S (Health, Safety and Environment) test for Operatives, you will be able to apply for a blue CSCS card.

NVQ Level 2 - 2

NVQ Level 3 for Supervisor ​

NVQ Level 3 for Supervisor – The NVQ Level 3 Supervisor assessment & training course is made specifically for working construction site supervisors or foremen, typically overseeing occupationally related operatives from the same trade. The training usually can take up to 3 months.

This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time.

With NVQ level 3 certificate and passed the H&S (Health, Safety and Environment) test for Supervisors, you will be able to apply for a Gold CSCS card.

NVQ level 6

NVQ Level 6 for Site Manager

NVQ Level 6 for Site Manager – This NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management will cover health and safety, site set up, pre-start procedures, environmental considerations, planning, resourcing, quality, customer satisfaction and handover. This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time. With NVQ level 6 certificate and passed the H&S (Health, Safety and Environment) test for Managers, you will be able to apply for a Black CSCS card.

NVQ level 2 for Plant

NVQ Level 2 for Plant Operators

NVQ Level 2 for Plant Operators – The NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations (Construction) is designed for Plant Operators looking to demonstrate their competence within their chosen area, and progress from the CPCS or NPORS red trained operator card, to the blue competent operator card.

This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time.

SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme)

SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme) –The SSSTS course seeks to deliver an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues in the building, construction & civil engineering industries. The SSSTS course also focuses on legal responsibilities, and how to meet these by implementing health and safety measures.

Candidates who complete our SSSTS course will be equipped to carry out risk assessments in the workplace, implement required control measures to limit risks, and create a positive health & safety culture through good communication with the rest of their workforce.

 These courses take 2 days online via the Zoom app, which means that it is a great opportunity to get everything done without leaving your home. These courses are organized once a month. The certificate is valid for 5 years.

SMSTS

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. site manager.

It covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

The courses take five-days online via the Zoom app, which means that it is a great opportunity to get everything done without leaving your home. These courses are organized once a month. The certificate is valid for 5 years.

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)

It doesn’t matter whether you are going to work as a simple labourer or a carpenter, or to operate heavy construction machine, to work as a manager, or as a cleaner – everyone who enters a construction site must pass a construction safety course and have a valid CSCS card.

We can help you with two types of CSCS cards.

GQA CSCS

GQA CSCS

GQA CSCS – GQA accredited CSCS card, which is legally recognized in the UK construction sector. This is a 1-day test that is organised in two our offices located in London, Manchester or Leeds. Tests are held from Tuesday to Sunday. After passing the test, you get your CSCS card within 2 weeks. This card is valid for 5 years.

CITB CSCS

CITB CSCS – CITB accredited CSCS card, which is legally recognized in the UK construction sector. To get this card, you need to do 2 things: pass the H&S (Health, Safety and Environment) for Operatives test and complete the one-day course Level 1 Award in Health and Safety.

To prepare for the H&S test, we can provide you with necessary materials (a program for your computer, a DVD disk, a book) and register you for the test at the nearest CITB center from your home.

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety 1-day course can be held online via the Zoom app, or you can come to one of our offices in London, Manchester or Leeds. This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time.

After these two things are done, you can apply for a green CITB card which is valid for 5 years.

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety qualification is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work, in construction. Successful completion will enable you to move on to take the CITB health, safety and environment test, and then apply for the new Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card.

It is one day test. We can do it online or you need to come for 1 day into our office London, Manchester or Leeds.

First Aider Level 1, Level 3

First Aider Level 1, Level 3 – first aid training courses. According to the law, every workplace shall have a person who is trained to provide first aid.

First Aid Level 1 training is a course consisting mostly of hands-on training along with some classroom theory. You will learn life-saving emergency first aid skills for practical use in the workplace. You will receive the very best first aid training available.

This recognized Occupational First Aid Level 3 course which participants must be present for all lessons and hand in all required homework assignments. Successful candidates will be able to perform all necessary emergency first aid skills and techniques as outlined by the standard grading criteria designed and recognized by Work Safe BC, through written multiple-choice test as well as a practical evaluation on physical skills. This course is designed for workplace first aid requirements for locations more than 20 minutes from medical facilities.

Both courses are available Online training. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

Confined Space

Entry into tanks and other confined spaces by workers is necessary for many industrial operations and entry into such confined spaces may present a hazard to the worker. This detailed and interactive online course provides a basic understanding of confined spaces in the workplace, the legislation that governs them and the hazards associated with entering them. 

The video, animations, engaging games and skill building exercises will make for an engaging interactive learning experience. Our course centres on elements that ensure the information is understood, retained and easily resourced.

18th Edition Course

18th Edition Course (also known as BS 7671 or wiring regs) is a British Standard for the installation of electrical wiring. The guidelines set out by IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) cover the installation of new electrical appliances and maintenance of existing ones, including any additions or alterations.

It is one day test (You can take 3 days preparation for test).

Inspection and Testing – In layman’s terms Inspection and Testing is the testing procedures that electricians use to ensure that a circuit is working correctly and safe for use before being energised. It is a set of processes and procedures which must be followed and involves the use of test equipment to measure that the installation is functioning as expected in accordance with the wiring regulations.

This six-day course is held every few months on three consecutive weekends.

AM2

AM2 – The purpose of the AM2 is to ensure all qualified electricians achieve a single standard that has been agreed by the employers in the industry as meeting their needs from qualified personnel. The content, structure and marking of the assessment is designed to evidence that a candidate has gained all the relevant safety critical competencies during their training process. AM2 provides a reliable and trusted guarantee of safe, high quality workmanship for the electrotechnical industry and is highly valued by employers, who regard it as evidence of competence for an electrician.

This is 2 days of practical tests and one day of theoretical test. Before the tests, you can arrive to a one-day preparation. This certificate is given to you permanently for unlimited period of time.

NVQ Level 3 for Electrical

NVQ Level 3 for Electrical

NVQ Level 3 for Electrical – This qualification is not a technical certificate which you spend most of your time in a classroom or workshop, but rather a qualification that is completed in a place of work. To be able to complete this qualification you must be able to evidence your electrotechnical competency by completing Electrical installations on site and then have your work assessed by one of our Assessors.

You would need to come to us in one of our training centers: East London, Kings Langley or Cardiff.
